Hello and happy new year! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I have been in hobby heaven lately with the addition of a new game to my stable. A friend and I have recently gotten in to Corvus Belli’s Infinity.
The game is amazing! If you don’t know much about it, check out the Corvus Belli YouTube channel here..
Set in a futuristic sci-fi environment, Infinity is a technologically advanced skirmish game. The terrain options are amazing and the models are out of this world. Maybe a bit fiddly, but overall, quite amazing!
I have played this game for 2 weekends straight and I can’t wait for the upcoming weekend to continue the trend. I’ll shoot some pics from the upcoming games and post images, but in the meantime, here are some starter images from the terrain. The pieces were borrowed from a friend until I get my own terrain, but the pieces are from Micro Arts Studio. Nice, MDF, modular pieces that offer a ton of flexibility and are quite well-crafted.
Since my first game I have learned a lot and I am quickly expanding my force. A starter box, a Steel Phalanx box and a couple of blisters later, and I already have quite a force to choose from.
Much assembly and painting to do, but I am REALLY liking this game.
I am planning to maybe add 1 more game to the mix. Looking at Dust Warfare…
Return of the Iron Warriors
I tried. I gave it a valiant effort. At the same time I am kicking myself for thinking I could escape the clutches of the Legion that has chosen me. I recently made a decision to play Minotaurs instead of Iron Warriors, and I admit — that was just downright stupid.
Needless to say, I have gone back to proudly displaying my Iron Warriors Legion in my display cases in my mancave and all is right with the world again. I am nearing completion of my Tau forces and will pick up with Iron Warriors soon. I am eagerly awaiting the Forgeworld Iron Warriors models release. They should be coming very soon!
